Cannabis oil, what is it?
There seems to be confusion coming from uncertainty on the net about cannabis oil. We are talking about so many different oils from the hemp plant or the cannabis plant. The following names often appear hemp seed oil, hemp seed oil, CBD oil, THC oil, cannabis oil, hash oil, hash oil, marijuana oil, Rick Simpson oil. But, what exactly is cannabis oil? The following paragraphs are intended to enlighten you and give us useful information before buying cannabis oil!
The term cannabis oil is used as a generic term designating various oils produced from the hemp or cannabis plant, undifferentiated and can, therefore, come from different subspecies. But these oils do are not generated from the seeds of the plant. The main differences between cannabis oils are their cannabinoid content, their extraction method, the kind of plant, and the part of the plant from which they are extracted. Concerning cannabinoids, the focus is on the psychoactive element tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and the non-psychoactive substance, called cannabidiol (CBD).
THC causes, during its consumption, an exhilarating effect. CBD is the central non-psychoactive cannabinoid of the plant. Both substances have the opposite effect but associated; they can improve your health. From a medical point of view, it seems logical to keep the phytocannabinoid THC in the oil produced, taking care however to modulate the concentration of THC and CBD according to the use and purpose of its use. When considering buying organic cannabis oil, you should first pay attention to the levels of THC and CBD.
Note that, cannabis oil is not produced from hemp seeds. These are called hemp oil or hemp seed oil (English, hemp oil or hemp seed oil). Hemp seeds do not contain THC. However, these oils may contain traces, because residues of the plant may remain stuck to the seeds extracted for the production of the oil.
